Antelope Canyon is situated on Navajo land near Page & Lake Powell, Arizona. The Navajo name for Upper Antelope Canyon (this series of images) is Tsé bighánílíní, which means “the place where water runs through rocks”
Antelope Canyon to me is one of the planets most beautiful and awe inspiring locations and somewhere that had been on my must see list for a very long time. In April this year I was fortunate enough to be able to visit and photograph it.
Antelope Canyon holds special spiritual importance to the Navajo people and once inside it is easy to understand why.
Never in my life have I seen light shine and reflect the way it did when I was inside the canyon. A very unique and amazing experience indeed.
Very nice photos Matt, you have captured some interesting and contrasting light aspects and excellent colours, great job!
