At the beginning of June I was fortunate enough to be able to travel to Fiji to photograph one of the best wedding celebrations I’m likely to ever see. Kylie & Matt had taken over a 100 strong crew to help them celebrate their wedding. The enormity and logistics of hosting an event like this is almost too much to comprehend, but they pulled it off with the help of some dedicated and loving family and friends. Destination weddings aren’t just 1 day. It’s a number of days all rolled into this continuous cycle of excitement and fun. To be honest it was like being at a festival, or a school camp for adults. The vibe was great and these guys not only knew how to host a party, they also knew how to party. I had a camera with me the entire time. The most impressive aspect was that there were planned events each day, on an itinerary when we checked into our resort rooms. Sandwiched in the middle of this was a beautiful wedding in a little Polynesian Chapel at the top of a hill on a tropical island and it was amazing. There are so many things I could write about this experience, from the people, locations, scenery, back flips, crazy jumps, Cloud Break and so on. I won’t though as it may be as long as a novel and my words probably wouldn’t do it justice. Please just enjoy just a snippet of Kylie & Matt’s incredible wedding experience.
