2017 – A YEAR IN WEDDINGS

It’s crazy how fast the year goes. 2017 was over in a flash but along the way I got the opportunity to yet again share in and document a whole bunch of unique and fantastic weddings. There were times where there was some crazy fun going down but there were also some pretty raw moments. Moments of shire excitement and joy but also moments of remembering loved ones lost. A wedding day can throw so many things at you (not just me, but more-so the people actually getting married). Forrest Gump said it best “Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get”. That’s how I see a wedding day and I try and approach it with a clean slate and open mind each and every time. Anything can happen. Unpredictable weather, timelines not going to plan, peoples emotions, the full box and dice, I’m sure you know what I mean. Amongst it all I task myself to be there, present in those moments and capture that stuff. I really love what I do and I’m thankful that people entrust me to photograph their wedding day.
