The best thing about having your wedding at a venue like The Stables of Somersby on the NSW Central Coast is that you can pretty much run the day however you want.
Guests invites had a Ceremony start time of 3pm, but all those who were there were in for a little surprise when Kylie & Sean casually walked out from the Barn and mingled with them for 2hrs – Yes 2 hours! That time was filled with catch ups, chats, laughs, lawn games and a beautiful grazing table from Events by Billie and tunes by the Baker Boys Band. Ice cold drinks were served from the super impressive Wandering Waterhole, definitely one of the most aesthetically pleasing mobile bars (converted Horse Float) that I’ve come across.
5pm rolled around and whip cracking Celebrant Monty from Holy Matrimonty decided it was time to get married, but not before another surprise as Kylie changed into a stunning dress made by Melanie Ford.
Under a tree and the watchful eye of the resident Horse, Kylie and Sean wowed with their vows.
The Ceremony flowed straight into the Reception with a raucous entry, hilarious speeches and a dance floor that rocked. In between all this we managed just a few minutes to duck outside and catch the last sunshine of the day, basking in lovely warm light.
What a day and a prime example of how going off script can turn out to be one of the best decisions for your wedding you can make!
